Event report
Investigation met advocacy.
Hosted by the Department of Forensic Science, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the event welcomed undergraduate and postgraduate teams from Mody University and Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur. Eleven teams represented VGU and five represented MUST.
The programme opened with addresses by Prof. (Dr.) Anil Sarolia, Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Bala, Prof. (Dr.) Jitendra Binwal and Dr. Tilak Ram Chandrakar. Participants then moved into two parallel, practice-led competitions.
Evidence Hunt
Teams analysed simulated scenes, located clues, formed hypotheses and defended their reconstructions before the expert jury.
Moot Court Act
Participants presented prosecution and defence arguments in a simulated courtroom, integrating forensic findings with legal reasoning.
The event was graced by Circle Officer Mr. Dilip Kumar Meena, Lakshmangarh, who highlighted the contribution of forensic science and courtroom practice to justice. It was coordinated by Dr. Mridu Sharma and Dr. Sameer Saharan with the support of faculty and student volunteers.
